Upcoming Advanced YTT workshops: 

**You must have already completed a minimum 200 hour yoga teacher training to be eligible to attend Advanced YTT workshops!  CONTACT Benders for more information.

Sitting Safe – Sitting Well

Our cultural addiction to sitting for prolonged periods of time goes against the natural design of the human form. Over the course of a lifetime, this can weaken the back body and impair the stability of the pelvis. Learn how to work with gravity and the natural curves of the spine to maintain mobility and stability and sit ‘safe and well’ in Seated Postures.

The physical body is an exquisite demonstration of tensegrity – the combination of periodic compression and a network of continuous tension that creates the complementary opposites of structural stability and flexibility. Learn about how to safely guide your students in Standing Poses so they can feel both long and strong.
